Description and Responsibilities
The role of the Longer-Term Housing Case Manager is to provide and coordinate continued supportive aftercare housing, counseling services, and advocacy to a caseload of clients/former shelter residents in order to enhance their ability to maintain safe independent living for successful integration into the community in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing individual case management (Advocacy, Needs Assessment, Action Planning and Evaluation according to established professional guidelines and norms for an assigned caseload.)
Accompany residents to appointments as necessary for obtaining and maintaining safe independent housing.
Provide in home and telephone, ongoing individual support and informal counseling and makes outside referrals when appropriate.
Assist former shelter residents in applying for relocation fund assistance.
Identify new resources, develops informational materials and networks with community resources on housing resources, financial literacy, domestic violence, tenant rights, and others as needed for use by survivors of domestic violence.

Intake & Hotline Counselors act as a liaison conducting intake to our Safe Havens, providing callers, potential clients and clients direct service links to external resources through the DV Hotline necessary in establishing safety when leaving a domestic violence situation.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Answering the Hotline - Conducting crisis intervention and safety planning with callers
Ensure a Trauma-Informed client intake and orientation with DV counseling and support
Assist OSH (Office of Supportive Housing) Intake staff by assessing the needs of the person(s) presenting for service and arrange direct access to the Safe Haven or other safe option
Providing information related to maintaining safety, discussing available options, counseling services or referrals and connecting clients to said services (in the event space is not available)

Teaching Artists (TA) work collaboratively and independently to ensure students are making steady progress on their instruments, music literacy skills, and repertoire and can manage their class to create a safe, welcoming, and rigorous environment in their classrooms and at their Music Centers, at-large. All POP TAs are responsible for encouraging students to adhere to the POP rules and guidelines for student citizenship.
This role is supervised by music center's Program Coordinator and works in partnership with the Director of Education, Music Director, and other POP TAs. As POP team members, TAs actively participate in professional development and continued education to cultivate and hone their teaching skills. We are looking for lifelong learners, and collaboratively natured individuals who enjoy and have experience working with school-aged children (1st - 8th grades), are creative, and can problem-solve and multi-task.

The Maintenance Assistant role carries out general/preventive Maintenance and Housekeeping responsibilities within our Residential Safe Havens and Transitional Housing Program. They will perform heavy janitorial duties, provide upkeep of our facilities and grounds, assist in any large annual cleaning assignments, and at times, they may assist with picking up and delivering any received in-kind donations. As a YMCA of Greater Erie Lifeguard, you maintain active surveillance of the pool area to ensure the safety of all participants. You have effective, positive relationships with the members and participants by ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all involved. Always alert, you know and review all emergency procedures and respond using the "safe-in-six" model. You are careful to act as a role model for the youth at all times!
You are friendly and patient as you give proper safety instruction to participants when around the pool. With precision, you perform equipment checks, chemical testing as required and check the pool for hazardous conditions.
