Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment within the facility, while acquiring skills and knowledge to complete the training required to obtain licenses. The hours for this position will start as 7:00 to 3:30 for training and change to 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Must be flexible and able to work weekends. Reston VA
The typical day will go something like this:
Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis
Maintain equipment to industry standards
Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor
Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required
Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction
Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of the system status as directed by the supervisor
Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed
Place or remove systems and equipment as directed
Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be available to work all shifts
Must be available to be on call 24/7
Experience working with VRF
Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems
Universal CFC/R-410A
Prior hotel experience a plus
Reliable transportation
Able to lift sixty (60) pounds
Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet

Complete Building Services (CBS) is searching for experienced HVAC Technicians to join our Commercial HVAC Service division. Our HVAC Technicians rotate on call duties throughout the year, on average a tech may only be on call for 4 weeks through a 52 week period. CBS provides all service trucks to ensure you have a reliable source of travel for your position. Hours Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Salary $30-$50 depending on experience and license.
Major Duties to include:
Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating condition
Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned
Provide direction and support to sub-contractors when needed

Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders

Qualifications
Education Requirement with one of the following

Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Strong electrical trouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panels and/or VFD's
