Becoming a Lab Tech intern with the Lake County Public Works will allow you to perform a variety of routine analytical testing and field sampling. * Perform work of moderate difficulty working under the directions of a supervisor to perform a variety of routine analytical testing and field sampling related to water distribution, stream, river, and wastewater treatment plant by-products. * Perform general housekeeping, sample preparation, sample bottle and glassware cleaning, equipment maintenance, and some data entry. * Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. * Some experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage: environmental sampling and or testing, exposure to analytical equipment.
