Position Objective:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery, storage and merchandising of Goldring Gulf Distributing Company products in each assigned accounts. The Delivery Driver is also responsible for safe truck operation and the return of all money, unsold product, and empties.
Description of Physical Tasks:
Keep shelves and vendors clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Pushes/pulls hand truck to machine or shelves and loads appropriate Gulf Distributing Company product. Climbing in and out of vehicle and proper lifting techniques.
Responsibilities Include:
Must report to work on time and clock in and out at appropriate times.
Ensure your truck is properly loaded at all times to prevent damage to the product.
Count your product load out and in each day with the warehouse personnel making sure both are accurate and complete. Sign the Load-out and Load-in sheets.
Make deliveries according to the route sequence that has been established.
When possible avoid deliveries during retailers busy times.
Ensure the product being delivered and that which is already in the account is properly rotated within the cooler, displays and backroom.
All products within the retail accounts must be merchandised according to the guidelines established by the company. This includes front facing packages.
Build, merchandise and sign displays as directed by the Salesperson(s).
Ensure that paper and permanent POS is used in each account in the proper manner and quantity.
Complete all the special attention items the Salesperson(s) or Channel Manager have communicated to you.
Complete all paperwork correctly and according to established procedures.
Collect all monies that are due for the delivery of product to the retail accounts and check them in according to established procedures.
Safely handle all empties and unsold product to prevent damage.
Attend all Safety and Drivers Meetings.
Call on your scheduled accounts and merchandise them completely including product from backstock.
Each morning prior to leaving the warehouse inspect your vehicle according to DOT regulations and adequate fluid levels.
Maintain in a current status the DOT required logs.
Obey all traffic laws when you are operating a company vehicle.
Courtesy on the road is important at all times. Be polite to other drivers, it is a reflection on the image of the company.
Park your truck so you do not interfere with the retailer s customers.
Ensure that your truck cab is clean and organized at all times.
Ensure that your truck is properly serviced and repaired as necessary.
At the last delivery stop load all empty pallets into one bay on each side of the truck.
Maintain a positive working relationship with the owners, managers, and employees of all your accounts.
Demonstrate a sincere interest in the business success of each account.
Maintain open and clear communications with all owners, managers, and other employees of the company.

Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Performing all pre-trip responsibilities including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations and GFI procedures and protocols
Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
Verifying delivery of items with customer and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicating all errors/returns.
Managing backhauls according to dispatch, jurisdictional compliance, and load optimization.
Performing all post-trip responsibilities including unloading damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork and turning in all funds collected daily, performing the safety check on the vehicle, parking and securing the vehicle.
Exceeding customer service expectations while handling any customer complaints professionally.
Reporting accidents and injuries and any damage to equipment immediately.
Attending all required company meetings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Valid Class B CDL
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 75 lbs. Ascend and descend a step with a height of 17 in. from floor and ascend and descend 3 rungs of the ladder, the first rung at 21 in. from the ground.

Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $21 per hour.
Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is PM shifts.

SUMMARY

* Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by manager and the client contact. Must be able to learn and remember pick-up and destination points. Knowledge of all property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities as well as main attractions in the area, parking rates, etc.- 40%
* Must be able to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in a courteous, friendly and professional manner with all guests, location staff and co-workers. Acknowledges and greets guests within 30 seconds while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last name at all times when appropriate. Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure. Appropriately uses salutation of the day and welcome to property- 20%
* May operate a vehicle that seats sixteen people or more, including driver. Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lights, air-conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. prior to moving vehicle. Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage and submits to manager- 20%
* Protects guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements. Maintains the security of client financial and identifying information. May not provide "lift" services or assistance to any hotel or hospital guest; only offer a hand for assistance. Check wheelchairs for safe operation prior to each use and must clean wheelchairs after each use. Must be able to assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle. May be required to use specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts- 20%

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:
* Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement issued by the state in which the associate will be preforming shuttle driver services.
* Must be able to pass a criminal background, MVR and drug screen and other requirements set forth by the client
* Due to vehicle leasing contract requirements must be at least 21 years of age
* Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times
* Pass annual / semiannual MVR check
* Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park as applicable
* Must possess current Medical Examiners Certificate
* Must maintain an up to date license as well as DOT endorsements and a bi-annual physical exam as applicable
Work Experience:
* At least three years of commercial driving experience or nine (9) years of driving experience as a licensed driver
Knowledge:
* Must be able to drive manual transmission
Skills:
* Ability to read and write standard English language
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
* Ability to write simple correspondence
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
