JOB SUMMARY: The Lead ESL (English as a Second Language) Youth Development Professional plays a key role in supporting ESL and non-English-speaking families within the Boys & Girls Club. This position assists families with the enrollment process, provides direct support to ESL members in daily programming, and offers translation services for Club signage, marketing materials, incident reports, and family communication. The Lead ESL Professional also organizes, supervises, and evaluates daily youth programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all members while working closely with other staff. JOB DUTIES: Assist ESL and non-English-speaking families with Club orientation and enrollment. Provide direct support to ESL members to ensure a positive Club experience for all. EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in education, youth development, social work, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with youth, particularly in an educational or after-school setting, is highly desirable. Experience working with ESL or non-English-speaking populations is a plus. Fluency in English and at least one additional language commonly spoken by ESL families (e.g., Spanish, Somali, etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and the second language to facilitate translation and interpretation. Commitment to working four days a week Committed to working school year hours (M, T, TH, F: 3:00-7:00pm) (W: 2:30-7:00PM) Commitment to working at the Club during the summer 25-35 hours.
