Pros of working at Woodward

They hire people with no experience so it gives them a good start to their machinist career.

Cons of working at Woodward

The management pays no attention to what is going on. The only way you can grow within the company is by befriending your supervisor. If your not friends with your direct supervisor, you will never learn new machines or get promoted. We are having a 2 day mandatory shut down at the end of the year. You have 2 choices for these days...use vacation time to get paid or if you don't have any more vacation days then you will get a write up for an unauthorized absence for each day. How can you get an unauthorized absence when they are forcing you to take the days off.

Woodward benefits

401k. Weekend shift works 3 days 36 hrs and gets paid for 40 hrs

Pros of working at Woodward

The people I work with is all.

Cons of working at Woodward

Absolutely pathetic management there. Low pay scales, treat employees like expendable numbers. Have so many values they want to meet but don't care about the real issues and concerns. You can even get hurt on the job and because they have their own doctors. They will do whatever possible to help the company versus the employees. You can go above and beyond for this company and the people you work with each day will see that. But when it matters like reviews and such, kind of impossible to make leading performance with management that hardly is around you to see what all you do.

Woodward benefits

Leaving at the end of my shift. There is nothing favorable about working here, but it's a pay check.

Pros of working at Woodward

Nothing - the place is a huge disappointment. Stay away.

Cons of working at Woodward

Absolutely horrible tyrannical business president and VP/GM in Rockford, IL. If you're a manager looking for growth, look elsewhere and stay away from Woodward Inc. The leadership is extremely incompetent and will sacrifice everyone else. Many complaints and investigations on their VPs and yet no one was fired.

Woodward benefits

The perks may look attractive, but the worst run company with incompetent and unethical VPs.
