Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for our next Graphic Design Intern for our K12 division serving the K-12 and catholic religious education audiences. We are searching for someone who wants to hone their graphic design craft by designing creative materials for traditional and digital marketing media. This paid internship will be available for work during the fall and spring semesters. Hours would range depending on projects, but you could earn up to 20 hours a week. This position is based in our Dubuque, Iowa office. No remote available.

Play a role in creating event materials, promotional collateral, and short-form videos that communicate ideas with clarity and creativity.
Work closely with the marketing team to maintain brand consistency, adapt designs for multiple formats, and organize our creative asset library.

Build and evaluate models, explore new features, and collaborate with teams to deliver measurable impact.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of deployment pipelines, ensuring models are robust, reproducible, and scalable.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code using libraries such as pandas, numpy, pydantic, and FastAPI.
Learn and apply modern ML tools and frameworks such as Transformers and MLflow.

Required Qualifications
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
Working knowledge of Python; ability to quickly learn new Python packages and programming concepts.
Preferred Competencies/Skills
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with core data science libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
Exposure to cloud platforms (especially Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. Job Purpose

Design eye-catching promotional materials such as posters, banners, flyers, and digital graphics for a variety of events, subjects, and styles for both Casey's Center and the Iowa Events Center
Create engaging social media graphics and digital content to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
