Position Overview
Woolpert is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Energy Civil Engineering Site Development Team at our Columbus, OH office. This position is responsible for assisting engineers in researching, compiling, and editing site-specific information, project and meeting notes, permitting packages, and technical reports. Qualified candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills, general interest and experience in civil engineering or construction environments.

What You Will Do:
Work as part of the industry-leading Energy Engineering team.
Assist engineers in researching, compiling, and editing site-specific information, project and meeting notes, permitting packages, and technical reports.
Help to write letter proposals and change orders, including compiling information provided by project lead and editing the final document for clarity and consistency.
Enter project-specific information and labor projections into Microsoft 365 applications. More advanced support would include pulling reports into spreadsheets, helping to update labor hours, and reloading the information into the overall accounting system.
Audit project documents, files, file structures for accuracy and completeness, and help engineering staff correct issues.
Take ownership of tasks, offer recommendations, and help solve problems with a high degree of independence.
Collaborate to identify and provide more advanced support of program-wide systems, project management tasks, and client deliverables to support ongoing growth-driven team evolution.
What You Will Bring:

The SUE Crew Chiefs play a pivotal role in the field by leading underground utility investigations using advanced technologies such as electromagnetic locators and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). This position ensures the precise designation, documentation, and mapping of underground utilities to support engineering, construction, and design efforts.
A core responsibility of this role is not only technical excellence in utility locating-including multi-utility, deep target, and complex congested area detection-but also the active mentorship and development of SUE Technicians and SUE Locators. By transferring knowledge and training others in field best practices, especially in GPR interpretation and integration with EM locates, the Crew Chief helps elevate the entire team's capabilities and supports long-term career advancement within the SUE discipline.

What you will do:
Operate and interpret data from electromagnetic (EM) and GPR systems to identify, locate, and map underground utilities, including but not limited to water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecom.
Serve as a technical lead on GPR investigations, including selecting appropriate antenna frequencies, setting scanning parameters, and analyzing radargrams.
Train and coach up-and-coming SUE Technicians in utility locating fundamentals, GPR applications, equipment care, and proper marking/documentation procedures.
Maintain equipment accuracy through routine calibration, field testing, and care-especially GPR units which require environment-specific settings and adjustments.
Collaborate with SUE Field Supervisors to enhance training materials, troubleshooting guides, and cross-training opportunities for multi-utility locating and advanced technology use.
Keep up to date on technological advancements in subsurface utility locating and integrate new tools and methods into daily workflows and crew development
What you will bring:
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. Applicable OSHA certifications preferred.
Four to Six (4-6) years of related work experience with a preference to GPR experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
Must have average communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Must be able to travel frequently and extensively, overnight, and/or out of town.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Overview Summary AECOM is seeking a qualified Construction Project Manager (CPM) to provide PM/CM support for a Federal Building Fire Alarm Modernization construction project. The position is full-time embedded on-site field construction support role.
Position Summary PM supporting General Services Admin. (GSA) "Owner" and their agencies "Tenants". Duties involve managing the Owner's interests (not the construction team) on a single project, at the project site to achieve specified objectives. Involves engaging and leading the project delivery team providing CPM / Owner's Representative supporting the project completion and FA Class-A Acceptance.
Reports directly to the AECOM Business Development Leader.
Manages the project to achieve specified objectives. Involves overall planning, coordination, and control of a project support to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time, within budget and of the intended quality.
Serve as Owners Rep. during design, construction, and Cx/closeout activities - as primary point of contact in the field - collaborates and coordinates per the contract and communication plan with the GSA CO (and the PM/COR, Ppty Mgr, O&M, key stakeholders, etc); and interfaces with the project Contractor (DB team), providing proactive project assessment and support, and maintains team engagement, and client satisfaction. Provide feedback on all on-site activities and escalating issues to the GSA CO, PM/COR.
Oversight of the Fire Alarm Modernization work includes ancillary work and systems integration and modernization as required.
This position is independent of and DOES NOT supervise, manage, or direct the DB Team or their Subs / Trade Partners.
Delivers revenues resulting from exceptional quality and execution of projects. Maintains profit margins and plans and completes project(s) without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Builds / supports collaborative project teams. Provides TQR and oversight of I/QAM work that monitors and reports on quality of completed and ongoing work, calls for support staff. Leads team in providing comprehensive CMa support services and owner's representation, provides on-site field observation for conformance with the SOW, Contract, GSA CBS (Core Building Standards) applicable codes and standards, provides summary progress documentation of the construction activities, implementing robust Quality Assurance monitoring and assessment of the Design Build Contractor's Quality Control Plan, staff management, execution of work, reviewing and validating contractor's self-performed inspections, and certifying work in place for recommending payment of Invoices and accepting work, provides real time feedback to the client regarding scope of work completion and contract compliance; recognizes risk and uncertainty and develops plans to mitigate and eliminate such, and operates to minimize unsatisfactory work and exposure to claims.
Evaluates Contractor capabilities to provide required quality and maintain schedule.
Typically supports projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Position requires support of projects managing the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management, coordinating with other staff and inspectors to provide oversight and technical quality review, coordinating the observation and conformance of the construction work done by the DB Contractor on the Owner's behalf, leading an integrated collaborative team that supports the Owner's interests. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, business or construction management, plus six (6) years of related experience / demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.

* Have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in developing and maintaining complex, multi-year project management activities including but not limited to
Developing/Controlling budgets
Scheduling and coordination of projects in existing, secure, and occupied facilities.

Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements

* Experience supporting and/or managing complex projects as a CPM.
* Knowledge of and proven experience with managing planning, design (design and constructability reviews, submittals, value added); construction (CM/PM support services, representation, field observation, and contract management), closeout and warranty (Cx support, warranty backcheck) phases.
* Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, familiarity with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and overlay Federal guidelines / Contract administration, principles of project management, and field observation and supervision.
* Professional demeanor, attentive customer service skills, clear and detailed oral and written communication, collaborative team building skills, lead by example, proactive problem solver, seeking de-escalation. Self-directed.
* Proficiency and competency with MS Suite, PIMS programs, support software (CAD, BIM, Bluebeam, Structions, Procore, Kahua, etc).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing field monitoring of erosion and sediment (E&S) controls on various types of construction Projects (linear and site-based) while working independently.
Review and understand specifications, permits, and permit conditions as well as E&S control and stormwater plans associated with both site and linear construction Projects.
Prepare and review periodic monitoring reports based upon field observations. Reports may be submitted via paper report or electronically as required.
Assist with the preparation of environmental reports, permit applications, and closeout requests such as wetland and stream delineation reports, erosion and sediment control plans, and sound studies.
Agree and adhere to the Health and Safety requirements of GAI Consultants and GAI's clients.
Maintain QA/QC standards and adhere to the Quality Management System procedures of GAI Consultants and the quality procedures of GAI's clients.
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical writing ability.
Ability to utilize electronic location devices such as a GPS or a GPS enabled device to collect data tied to a Project location.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or GIS (ArcGIS).
