The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for evaluating requirements, making recommendations, and managing projects related to new or existing manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process controls. Their expertise will support manufacturing operations by evaluating labor utilization, working capital, automation requirements, and determining proper processes.
Responsibilities:
Work with tool manufacturers, maintenance employees, production staff, & other supporting departments to troubleshoot and resolve various equipment, quality, safety, & throughput issues
Assist in implementing preventive maintenance plans
Track and improve key performance indicators for safety, quality, & productivity for a specific area of responsibility
Review new part prints and advise product engineering on design for manufacturability
Create cost comparisons and return on investment calculations to assist in supplier selection
Plan, justify, procure, and implement new equipment, tooling, and fixture needs to support existing and anticipated production requirements.
Perform payback analysis and other justifications to support major investment projects
Improve and support new and existing operations, methods and processes for cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvements
Create and maintains work standards for direct labor and machine cycle times used for manufacturing performance standards

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology
