Job Description Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for supervising work crews. Primary responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:
Safety
Ensure the crew complies with OSHA Standards, MSHA Standards and MBC Safety Programs. This includes knowing and applying proper safety practices for field operations, insuring PPE (i.e.: Personal Protective Equipment) is available and properly utilized, trained personnel are utilized (i.e.: competent person, traffic supervisor, etc.) and issue safety violation notices to employees who fail to comply.
Report Safety Incidents immediately to the Project Superintendent & Safety Manager. Complete a Safety Incident Report in conjunction with the Safety Manager within 48 hours of the incident.
Conduct a tool box safety talk every morning with your crew and prior to the major start of a new operation.
Quality, Schedule, Budget
Review and understand plans, specifications and standard drawings for the work to be performed. Build the work to meet or exceed specifications.
Ensure materials utilized are from the approved source and are available when needed.
Review crew size (i.e.: trucks, equipment & labor) in HCSS Heavy Job and complete the work within the time & cost allocated (minimum requirement).
Care for equipment assigned to the project. Report equipment maintenance issues to the Superintendent immediately.
Project Records
Complete and send accurate HCSS Heavy Job Reports to the Archbold office by 10 AM the following day.
Complete accurate extra work forms daily (as required) including signature of the owners' representative (i.e.: inspector/engineer).
Review actual cost vs. estimated cost as shown on HCSS Heavy Job. Review with the Superintendent and make adjustments as needed.
Employee Relations
Inform employees of all current company policies regarding EEO, Affirmative Action, Sexual Harassment and ADA. Insure policies are met on the project. Report employee complaints and violations immediately to Human Resources for action.
Perform on-going training of assigned employees in all areas of the work.
Authority:
To direct the work of employees, suppliers, and subcontractors assigned to you on the project.
To order materials, trucks and schedule subcontractors necessary to perform the work through the General Superintendent.
To order equipment and manpower necessary to perform the work through the General Superintendent.
To reprimand, terminate and replace hourly employees not performing the work. This must be reviewed with and approved by the General Superintendent.

About the Role:
A day in the life:
Our Restoration Foreman would be a natural leader with hands-on experience in concrete restoration and construction. They would thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy guiding a team to success. FORJAK Industrial is looking for an experienced and motivated Restoration Foreman to lead restoration projects across the country. This is a travel-heavy field position, where you'll oversee and coordinate teams on a variety of exciting restoration and construction projects.
On a given day, as a Restoration Foreman, you will:
95% out-of-state travel, 5 days at a time with overnight stays.
Lead a crew of 4-5 restoration technicians, providing guidance and support throughout each project's lifecycle.
Oversee the restoration of concrete structures, including demoing, pouring, spall repair, crack repair, and finishing. Perform concrete surface prep, media blasting, and coating applications.
Collaborate with the superintendent to develop work plans, schedules, and allocate resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards, customer specifications, and manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on craftsmanship and durability.
Identify and resolve technical issues or project challenges as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Maintain accurate daily reports, track material usage, and document project progress, ensuring transparency and communication with superintendents and clients.
Serve as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication of project objectives and progress.
Adhere to company work safety policies.
Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
Schedule & Travel:
This is a full-time Monday through Friday position with day and night shift hours. This department typically works an average of ten to twelve-hour days. This is a traveling position that will be on the road 95% of the time. The company covers all travel expenses, lodging, and food after the first meal while traveling.

As a civil foreman for our Ohio market, you will lead a small team through the building and maintenance of cell towers, small cells, and other wireless equipment and structures, installing, maintaining, and upgrading telecom cabinets and telecom shelters. Every day, you will interact with customers and subcontractors, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate with the construction manager about work progress and known issues. What We Need from You
To thrive in this role, you should have electrical experience (both AC and DC) and be comfortable with schematics and materials. Experience wiring cabinets, panels, meter bases, and performing battery installations is a must. You do not need to have an electrician's license, but you should be comfortable performing the work.
In addition, you must be able to perform tower construction duties in outdoor environments, in all weather conditions, and you must be able to travel extensively within the market area. Overnight travel with some evening and weekend work should be expected. You must possess basic computer skills and be able to complete/submit paperwork by required deadlines. You should also be able to:
Train a crew on all positions and provide developmental training opportunities for crew members wishing to advance in the company.
Successfully manage jobs within the required timeframe and approved budget.
Effectively resolve issues in a dynamic environment.
Track and report primary and ancillary material use, manage and order inventory, and document maintenance of all equipment.
Install and test DC and AC power circuits, fiber jumpers, and ethernet cables.
Label and/or color code equipment, power circuits, and fibers per carrier requirements.
Perform grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
Willingly assist on all jobs, including groundwork and all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs.
Read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, and similar documents.
Perform general construction of tower sites, including site layouts, clearing, excavation, foundations/slabs, tower assembly, trenching/conduit installation, ice bridge, h-frames, fencing, aggregate roads/compounds, cabinet placement and securing, and other tasks, working with and around heavy equipment.
Safely lift up to 75 pounds.
Drive a truck and trailer and back it up competently.
Communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and in writing.
Pass required pre-employment processes, including a background check, DOT inspection, and drug screen.
