Tools are provided by the company. Days and shifts will vary based on the business unit needs during the outage. Normal schedule (not supporting an outage) is a day shift Monday-Friday. Overtime hours average approximately between 400 hours to 800 hours per year. Employees are offered per diem when traveling outside of their region. Summary: The Mechanic is responsible for adhering to our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform repairs and maintenance work on waste pick-up trucks and support equipment in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on trucks and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts. Perform minor and major repairs on waste pick- up trucks and support equipment.
