Employment offers are conditioned on a negative test result. Position Summary: The Laborer provides manual support to keep the plant running efficiently and productively. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and completes essential duties as part of the Maintenance department in assigned areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assists in the hydro-blasting of plant equipment on a daily basis. Cleans up plant process areas on a daily basis. Conducts inspections of equipment's integrity to ensure a safe work environment. Completes the clean-up of hazardous waste spills by vacuum trucks, pump carts, absorbent material, pressure washer, steam cleaner and other means. Works with hand tools to assemble piping. Cleans tanks and vessels by entering confined spaces in a safe manner. Follows all safety procedures and take an active role in personal safety and the safety of those around them. Operates a forklift, manlift, vacuum truck, backhoe, and other heavy equipment to complete tasks as assigned. Performs Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) and energy isolation as required. This position understands and carries out lock-out/tag-out procedures to safely prepare equipment for maintenance for its essential duties at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Monitors and maintains process throughout to acheive prescribed production goals while maintaining appropriate levels of quality control. Carries out lock-out/tag-out procedures to safely prepare equipment for maintenance. Interprets lab results and makes adjustments to process controls to achieve on-spec products. Obtains process samples, runs analyticals and makes adjustments accordingly to maintain good process chemistry in a safe manner at all times. Documents and records logs and reports concerning the assigned unit and associated utilities. Measures and maintains appropriate process plant and utilities chemistry. Isolates and drains process equipment for maintenance activities. Fills out logs and generates routine production reports. Other Functions: Performs other related duties as assigned. Routing and scheduling with drivers to ensure customer satisfaction. Data entry of all service orders and fulfills completed orders. Maintains and completes filing of service orders and route sheets. Scans all completed reports to internal/external customers. Collaborates with management to help modify routes to accommodate the needs of customers. Cultivates strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce service disruptions from last minute schedule changes. Monitors any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely pick up and deliveries. Maintains an adequate supply of drums and other supplies needed for customer service. Performs the daily yard inspection as well as participating in the quarterly Safety Committee Inspections. Loads the outgoing waste on the proper disposal facility trailers, an accurate drum count and drum integrity. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). 40 Hour Haz-Woper Training preferred. 2-4 years of related experience and/or training preferred. Responsibilities of the position include working with hand and power tools, assisting with painting the building and structure, and maintaining a clean work environment in a refinery setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Cleans up all areas of the refinery including working outside such as scraping asphalt off concrete, handling hoses where necessary and cleaning bathrooms. Performs various physical duties as assigned including painting, transporting samples from refinery to testing service location and handling paperwork for sampling. Uses hand & power tools and light & heavy equipment, depending on the job assignment. Ensures tools and equipment are returned to correct location after issuance. Attends formal refinery maintenance training in order to perform the following specialized tasks: hazardous waste handling, including proper labeling; working in hot areas and around hot equipment and serving as fire watch for hot work activities. Maintains all safety standards while completing tasks. Maintains availability for occasional afterhours call-outs as scheduled. Communicates issues/problems up the chain of command as appropriate. Emergency Response - handle fire extinguisher in case of emergency. Assist production of asphalt cartons as per manifest. Assist prep asphalt flooring for carton production. Assist in maintaining inventory and documentation of empty cartons and pallets. Shipping documentation of asphalt cartons on truck flat-beds and/or containers. Unloading materials from incoming supply trucks/containers and maintaining documentation. Other Functions: Complies with safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Completes appropriate paperwork and forms, including but not limited to manifest, shipping, and receiving documents. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor at all times on shift. Loads and unloads truck, which may include hazardous waste and/or materials. Communicates with customers, supervisors, and other employees effectively. Uses good judgment in making decision, in emergency and routine situations. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). Commercial Class A Driver's License with Hazmat, TSA, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements At least 2 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle and maintaining a Commercial Class A driver's license required Crude and asphalt experience is a plus Ability to lift up to 50LBS.
