Purpose: The Turnaround Project Engineer performs a variety of routine assignments involved in either the coordination of various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling and start up aspects of a project, and the technical excellence of the engineering portion of a project across all disciplines (equipment, piping, E&I, civil). This individual oversees a portfolio of small projects with daily operational responsibilities through engineering and procurement, and eventually, field engineering during the turnaround periods. The turnarounds are expected to be in 1Q28 and 3Q28 after the initially starting the role leading the engineering and procurement portion. This is an onsite role in Baton Rouge, LA in a plant environment with a 5/8 work schedule. Responsibilities: * Manage and coordinate multi-discipline engineering and construction staff and activities to ensure project is executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner. * Coordinate project activities to support overall Project Manager and to support and update Project Execution Plan (PEP). * Act as primary technical coordination interface with client and site to ensure that the client's expectations are met. * Manage risk register, gate readiness, RFP development, materials, scope of work, etc. * Ensure the project conforms to regulatory and code requirements. * Regularly provide accurate, timely and effective reports to management. * Effectively communicate with the team and third parties. What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: * Typically 10+ years engineering experience, including 5-7 years of relevant project management and/or technical experience; Workshare experience; E, EP project experience. * Project Delivery experience in refinery and chemical processes. * Solid understanding of AWP and construction experience. * Site experience or in-refinery experience is a plus. * Computer proficiency required; Proficient with engineering software applications; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Be comfortable using MS Office, Teams, SharePoint & other collaboration tools. * Demonstrated leadership skills & managed small to medium sized projects, be capable of technical stewardship on projects. * Experience in change management, budgets, schedules, progress reporting, managing work scopes. * Demonstrated skills at customer / stakeholder interactions is a must. Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: * BS or MS in related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience. Preferred: * Professional registration in local jurisdiction; Certified Project Management Professional by a globally recognized project management organization (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM). The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline. About the role The Principal Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to operating the Assai Renewal Natural Gas (RNG) plant located in Throop, PA. A key asset for Archaea Energy, this facility converts landfill gas, collected at the landfill, into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas). The facility processes the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, Nitrogen, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality gas. The support will range from plant optimization to small upgrade projects. This role will work closely with Operations and Maintenance personnel at the plant in support of achieving plant runtime and production KPI's. They will also work closely with in-house Engineering teams and 3rd party Engineering Contractors to develop workpack deliverables for plant modifications. A key accountability will be maintaining and updating Process Safety Information for the plant. The successful candidate must be able to report to the plant in Throop, PA at least 3 days per week. You must live near the site or be willing to relocate to report into the site to be considered for the role. Position Responsibilities: • Design equipment, assemblies, subassemblies, PCBs, and parts for fueling solutions, collaborating with the global team to leverage standard components whenever possible. • Develop detailed electronic schematics and perform PCB layout (single layer to multi-layer), ensuring signal integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with EMC/EMI standards. • Prepare and test prototypes of equipment, components, PCBs, and test equipment, specifying materials/equipment to be used and acceptance criteria. • Create and perform change management of bills of materials, PCB design files, drawings, internal technical standards, and operation sheets to ensure specifications and quality standards are met. • Generate design releases in PLM and ERP Systems. • Work with external teams on specifications and requirements for third-party components and PCB manufacturing partners. • Document and validate PCB level designs, schematic capture, layout reviews, and integration with third-party components. • Troubleshoot issues found in PCB assemblies and systems to determine root cause (HW/SW) and recommend corrective actions. • Develop and implement new products, processes, standards, or operational plans with a strong focus on PCB technology and electronic hardware. Qualification Requirements: • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering is required. • 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware and PCB design/layout development. • Must have strong knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent). • Must have a good understanding of hardware electronic designs incorporating microcontrollers. • Excellent problem solving, research, analysis, and technical skills. • Experience with project planning and task management systems such as MS Project and Jira. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SolidWorks. • Advances problem solving capabilities such as DFX, DFSS, FAST or others. • Experience with C Language for microcontrollers. • Experienced in C++/C# development with Visual Studio. • Experience bus protocols such as serial, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and USB. • Able to read and design circuit schematics and perform multi-layer PCB layout in OrCAD and Altium. • Knowledge of payment components and PCI certification. • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability (DFM), and design for testability (DFT). Senior Power Electronics Engineer The Senior Power Electronics Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of the power electronics of our nuclear-driven high-speed generator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the design of high-voltage and high-speed generator drives, DC-DC converters for high-voltage batteries, and standalone and grid-tied inverters. You'll join the Power Conversion and Electrical Systems team responsible for converting mechanical energy generated from a nuclear reactor to electrical energy to deliver to customers. You will own power electronics design, analysis, simulation, and component selection. You will partner cross-functionally with top industry engineers at Radiant, as well as vendors and partner organizations, including government agencies. Your efforts will be instrumental in bringing the first nuclear microreactor to market. Responsibilities and Duties: Design and develop power electronics for a nuclear power generator. Build detailed schematics, select components, PCBA layout, prototype, and validate hardware. Apply EMI/EMC strategies and underlying physics to engineering problems. Utilize expertise in design and validation of gate drivers, power stages, magnetics, and controls. Conduct modeling and detailed simulation of inverters. Own the design and build a fully functioning inverter autonomously. Perform circuit formal analysis, e.g., de-rating and worst-case circuit analysis. Optimize loss, efficiency, and conduct thermal analysis of the inverter. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in power electronics. 8+ years of design experience designing high voltage and high power electronics. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Expert with high voltage power semiconductor selection (Si/SiC/GaN, IGBT, Diodes, MOSFETs), gate driver, and protection circuit design. Strong understanding of different PWM switching techniques, DPWM, ZCS, ZVS. Expert with at least one of the common power electronics tools such as PLECS, PSCAD, dSPICE, PSIM, or Simplorer. Solid understanding of capacitor and super-capacitor design and selection, such as electrolytic, film, ceramic, and tantalum.
