ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitor flow of products on average waist-high conveyor while stacking products in correct numbers for further processing in wrapping machine.Monitor wrapping machine.Monitor and adjust speed of wrapping machine in order to ensure efficient production.Remove defective products from production line.Check bulletin board for products ordered in order to wrap appropriate products according to production needs.Perform minor maintenance on wrapping machine using hand tools.Tally number of units wrapped and record size, weight and type of products and line check for triangle wrapper.Clean work area with chemicals.Must be free of identified pathogens spread by infected persons handling food such as Hepatitis A, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.Must understand and follow Safety/Food Safety(SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP) standards at all times Maintain timely and regular attendance.Must be able to work overtime to meet production deadlines.Must be able to rotate to position of Production Specialist.Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.Other production specific duties as needed.

Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS Pallet Wrapper you will be responsible for:

To wrap all the outbound orders in the designated loading zones in compliance with company procedures and standards. This ensures the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day's deliveries.Ensure all pallets are built according to preferred methods and wrapped from the bottom of the pallet to the top cases on each pallet to avoid damage during transport. Notify a supervisor of any issues.Ensure work is completed in a productive and timely manner. Keep pallets in work area wrapped according to dispatch times and on pace to avoid any hindrance in loader productivity.Verify header labels are in upper right hand corner for the loader to easily locate.Ensure work area is free of debris at all times. Help loaders by Unloading trailers staged in doors that contain pallets, blankets, straps and any debris left in the trailer. Raise door, lock trailer to dock & lower dock plate.Work in extreme temperatures of 100 + degrees and below freezing Ensure the Robo wrappers are clean and in good operational condition at all times. Do not allow excess shrink wrap to build up around guide wheel. Do not cut shrink wrap from rollers using a box cutter. Do not place stickers on any part of the equipment. Wipe down the equipment an end of shift each day.Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 5pm -All orders loaded, averaging 9-10 hours a shift.

What you bring to the table
Education/Training:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.Related Experience:

Must be able to operate a pallet jack; Good attention to detail; Ability to read batch labels; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others
