Curt R. Hartman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CONMED Corporation. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of CONMED on March 1, 2014, assumed the Interim CEO role on July 22, 2014, and became the full-time President and CEO on November 9, 2014. Prior to CONMED, he had a twenty-two-year career at Stryker Corporation (“Stryker”), a publicly-traded large-cap medical device company, from 1990 through February 2013. During his tenure with Stryker, he served as Interim Chief Executive Officer from February 2012 to October 2012 and as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from April 2009 to October 2012. Mr. Hartman initially joined Stryker as a Manufacturing Engineer. He subsequently held roles of increasing responsibility to include Unit Supervisor, Production Unit Manager, Director of Information Technology, National Accounts Director and Vice President, General Manager, and Global President of the Instruments Division. Mr. Hartman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds a Harvard AMP Program Certificate from Harvard Business School. He also has completed the Stryker Advanced Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Hartman currently serves on the Board of Veran Medical Technologies, a venture-backed medical technology company.
