What you will do:
* You will lead all day to day operations of a survey crew for boundary, topographic and construction surveys for a wide variety of public and private projects.
* Specific duties include the following:
* direct and lead survey crew operations;
* interoperate construction plans,
* ensure proper set-up and calibrations,
* use and maintenance of field equipment;
* operate various types of survey equipment;
* upload and download survey data into computer or survey controller.
* Travel, including overnight stays, is sometimes required.
What You Will Bring:
* Three or more years of experience in construction, topographic, right of way and boundary surveys;
* Ability to schedule between multiple projects and communicate with project managers, inspection staff and contractors;
* Ability to operate Trimble/Leica GPS, Total Stations, and other survey equipment;
* Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains;
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Our preferred candidate will have:
* A two-year degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying; two or more years of crew chief or other supervisory experience;
* Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation/Geopak;
* Experience performing construction staking on large complex transportation projects.

The qualified individual will assess enclosure systems, and design repairs for existing enclosure systems. What You Will Do:
* As a structural project manager, you will play a lead role in bridge design and load rating or other structural design for a wide variety of clients including cities, counties, states, and private entities.
* You will use innovative approaches to provide our clients with efficient designs focused on quality.
* You will use your project management skills to plan, direct, track, and coordinate all project activities on multiple small to large sized projects to ensure that projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets.
* Bridge routine inspections may be included in your responsibilities.
* While bridge projects are expected to make up the majority of your work, you will also be required to provide structural design, analysis, and project management for retaining walls, hydraulic structures, and other structures. .
* You will also identify new projects, formulate approach to projects and lead the proposal process to market to and secure work from new and existing clients.
* Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, the complexity of tasks performed, and direct supervision received.
* You will lead and train young engineers.
What You Will Bring:
* The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school (MS preferred)and a minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) work experience of bridge and related structural design.
* Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or ability to get licensed by comity is required.
* Candidate should be familiar with TxDOT bridge design documents and procedures, LRFD design procedures, bridge design software, structural analysis software such as PGSuper, BGS, RC-PIER,MDX, STAAD, MIDAS, Bently Open Road/Open Bridge products, and have proven project management experience.
* Steel bridge design and post-tensioned bent caps/column design experiences are preferred but not required.
* Excellent technical, communication and organizational skills are required. Certification as a Bridge Routine Inspection Team Leader preferred but not required.
* Ability to work 40 hours a week.
* Ability to work in the posted locations.
