NewLane Finance is seeking a detail oriented, organized full time Staff Accountant to assist with accounting and operating activities in support of accounting / servicing lease portfolio. The position will work cross-functionally with all departments executing tasks such accounting close, commission reporting, operations, and ongoing support needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
Assist with performing related financial accounting, servicing, operating, and reporting activities as directed and assigned by management.
Administer G/L account reconciliations.
Responsible for Account Payable operating and equipment lease disbursements as directed.
Support the month end accounting close process and accounting & analysis activities in accordance with parent accounting calendar.
Generate and produce month end accounting reports that are required for portfolio servicing, G/L account reconciliations, sales/use tax, cash management and other standard reporting requirements.
Other projects as directed and assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Must have 2+ year of experience in financial services industry
Must have knowledge and experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation systems
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
Must have excellent analytical skills
Must have the ability to handle simultaneous projects and meet established deadlines
Must have good organizational and analytical skills and be detail oriented
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to work independently to solve problems as well as work as a part of team on special projects and assignments

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
