Expertise
Serve as project manager, deputy project manager, and task lead and collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready transportation planning solutions for clients.
Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams to execute project work, including managing project scope, schedule, and budgets and cost-to-complete.
Coordinate with project managers, task managers, project team technical leads, subconsultants, and other disciplines such as planning, engineering, sustainability and traffic team members.
Perform professional transportation planning work and conduct investigations, and studies, to gain further information on a particular problem or issue, verify site characteristics, and/or to plan for future needs affecting transportation analysis and demand management, corridor planning, complete streets, multimodal mobility, and safety planning, PEL Studies and NEPA analyses.
Demonstrated experience applying and interpreting various traffic modeling tools (e.g., microsimulation, macroscopic, and mesoscopic models) to support transportation planning and operational analysis.
Lead and prepare drafts of transportation technical reports and memos, presentations, and other materials to summarize research, findings, and recommendations.
Lead staff to prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, models, infographics, cross-sections, and 3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of complex and large-scale data, findings, or analyses.
Remain current in transportation planning practices, regulations, and techniques.
Clients
Coordinate with clients, partner agencies, subcontractors, and technical staff in a confident and professional manner.
Support local client coordination, pursuit management, and cross-selling efforts in coordination with local and region leadership.
Attend civic and industry events, conferences, and forums such as ITE, WTS, APA, APWA, and ACEC.
Together with business line leaders, strategically grow the planning practice in Nevada and bring an expanded view and integrated response by leveraging WSP's technical and subject matter experts across offices and regions.
Operational Excellence
In collaboration with business line leaders, develop a client base for providing transportation planning services including identifying additional business development opportunities and engaging in proposal writing and submission.
Coordinate with leads and specialists in other business lines and regions (particularly Transportation & Infrastructure) to engage in projects and pursuits and leverage a broader base of staff support.
Provide innovation and collaboration with a focus on maintaining and improving quality.
People & Culture
Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development.
Collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the transportation planning field, or equivalent experience in the A/E/C industry with a focus on infrastructure projects.
Proven experience overseeing and managing multidisciplinary transportation projects of small, medium, and large-scale.
Strongly established relevant client relationships and industry contacts in the local area.
Experience with professional environmental services as a consultant or client, developing scopes of work, directing work, issuing or responding to RFP or RFQs.
Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, and ability to identify effective solutions to accomplish project objectives.
Demonstrated leadership experience, personal accountability, persistence, and growth.
Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement.

The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Stantec supports a wide range of paleontology projects, from multi-state transmission and pipeline projects to road improvements, solar fields, private development, and more. We offer support through all stages of permitting and development, including preconstruction surveys and assessments, construction mitigation programs, and fossil treatment. Our Monrovia, California and Denver, Colorado offices include fossil preparation workspaces, with museum-quality preparation equipment.
Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.

* Preparation and review of paleontological technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documents, impact mitigation plans, and annual permit reports.
* Preparation of cost proposals including budgets and scopes of work.

As a Senior Electrical Estimator at Stantec, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating large electrical cost estimates. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of cost estimators, schedulers, and construction engineers in Stantec's construction engineering group.
