Your Opportunity As a Resident Tunnel Engineer, you will be embedded on a project site in Cincinnati, Ohio, supporting ongoing project work for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. You will provide resident engineering, technical expertise, and construction oversight for tunnel and trenchless works, ensuring reliability, efficiency, constructability, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with project managers, technical leads, contractors, and client representatives to deliver a successful project outcome. Your Key Responsibilities Serve as the on-site technical expert for tunnel and trenchless construction activities. Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. Perform engineering calculations, review drawings, and prepare field reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant design software; familiarity with computational modeling software is a plus. Able to travel and work on site for the duration of the assignment. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering; postgraduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Structural Engineering preferred. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio, or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
