Pros of working at Grainger

Pay and benefits are good.

Cons of working at Grainger

It is a very "old school" company. They look only at how you politick. In fact, that is explicitly what shows up in your reviews. They do not look at measurable results at all. It's upside-down. Your boss will be someone who is terrible at the work but hangs out with the right people and just implements whatever other people tell them to. Creative thinking is punished. If you just want to make some money and will keep quiet about anything constructive, you'll be fine here. If you care about doing good work, look elsewhere. If you aren't in a clique, forget about advancement.

Pros of working at Grainger

Pay and benefits.

Cons of working at Grainger

Management makes working for a great company a bad place to be.

What do you like best about Grainger's CEO and the leadership team?

Pay, insurance, and benefits.

How would you improve Grainger's culture?

Upper management makes working for a great company a discouraging place to be. Company policy only applies to thoes at management discretion. If you go to work to do your job and fill in where needed you'll still never do enough for some managers satisfaction. Basically if they like you, they like you and if they don't, they don't.

How did you prepare for the Grainger interview?

I prepared for the interview by showing up on time.

Cons of working at Grainger

The only con that I have working for Grainger is the home work life balance. Working 10hr shifts dose not bring balance. The extra day off is nice but, it doesn't help me through the rest of the week.

Pros of working at Grainger

The pros for me is that we all get weekends and holidays off!! they also have a wonderful benefits program that wont break the bank. Graingers 401k program also helped me out considering i was never able to afford to have one and they made it possible.

Grainger benefits

defiantly the 401k program
