Dublin Methodist hospital is hiring a part-time, day shift Rad Tech for their growing Radiology department. The scheduled days would be Monday, Tuesday and Friday, hours 8:30am -5p on Mondays & Tuesdays, 7:30a-4p on Fridays.
This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

Obtains diagnostic radiographs Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

Prepares patients for examination Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

Responsibilities
Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process of the scans to the patient and properly positioning the patient to capture the appropriate images.
The Technologist correctly operates equipment in order to produce cross-sectional images of patient's bones, organs and tissue.
Understands and completes necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner and schedules all exams accurately.
Performs diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic/CT exams on patients both in the department and with portable equipment.
Demonstrates the ability to inject IV contrast media, as needed.
Performs a variety of examinations, reconstructions and various printing protocols.
Identifies various types of mechanical and electronic equipment failures in order to accurately diagnose general problems with radiographic machines and processors.
Explains the procedure to the patient and answers any questions related to the equipment or the procedure.
Properly moves and transports patients to and from department, as required.
Orders necessary supplies and maintains par levels.
Attends required in-services and orientations.
Works closely with floor staff and builds positive relationships in order to facilitate excellent patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
At least two (2) years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).

Minimum Qualifications:

Perform fluoroscopic C-Arm procedures as directed by physician
