We are seeking a skilled and dependable X-RayTechnician for a full-time, travel position in New York City Metro area, Southern New York, and/or Northern New Jersey. This role involves traveling to assigned clinical locations to perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) or Department of Health for the State of New Jersey regulations. We will assist you with getting licensed in NY and/or NJ if you are licensed in another state.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Ensure proper radiation safety, and image quality
Prepare, operate, and maintain X-ray equipment in compliance with NY/NJ standards

Required Qualifications
Current valid Radiologic Technologist License (in any State - we will assist you with getting a NY and/or NJ license)
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
Strong knowledge of radiation protection and imaging regulations
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a mobile or travel-based setting

Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility.
Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS
Perform all imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws and ensure the physician on duty is notified of the results
Perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse on duty
Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations
Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables to perform quality testing
Perform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment
Perform Quality Control as established by this laboratory
Perform Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis periodically as established by this facility
Retain records of all analytic activities performed for a minimum of two years
Perform all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this position and document these activities for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or the Laboratory Director

Monitor patients before, during, and after the procedure for safety and prevention of fainting.
Educate patients and families regarding the procedure.
Follow universal precautions to protect self and patients.
Stock procedure rooms with supplies.
Manage CLIA Waived Point of Care Testing, including QC, proper specimen handling, and processing according to manufacturer's instructions.
Take responsibility for lab equipment cleaning, quality control, and sterilization in accordance with OSHA and CLIA guidelines.
Promote and believe in providing quality healthcare services and education to the community in a convenient and compassionate manner.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Support Specialist Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment
Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care
Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician
Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations
Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center
Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms
Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected
In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume
Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit
Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping
Ensure accuracy in documentation
Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed
Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required
