We are seeking a skilled and dependable X-RayTechnician for a full-time, travel position in New York City Metro area, Southern New York, and/or Northern New Jersey. This role involves traveling to assigned clinical locations to perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) or Department of Health for the State of New Jersey regulations. Key Responsibilities

This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process

• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Key Position Accountabilities:
Identify each patient and review each patient's requisition for consistency of examination ordered, clinical diagnosis and all demographic information.
Assess patient condition, ensure patient safety through proper use of restraint/support devices under supervision of Director.
Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examination to Director, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patient following the procedure.
Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification on all images.
Coordinate radiographic examination to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care and assist with the management of the work flow of the department to ensure the completion of the work assignments in the absence of the Director.
Document correctly and accurately patient information to ensure the quality of patient care.
Demonstrate competency and proficiency in radiation protection, protecting self and other personnel during all radiologic examinations, and shields patients properly.
Demonstrate ability to organize patient care and set priorities by providing critical care first and by implementing the physician's orders.
Report all safety hazards that could harm patients, visitors or other hospital employees to the Director immediately.
Keep Director informed of any unusual concerns, situations or conditions relative to staff, patients and physicians.
Attends in-services as required, as documented by sign-in sheets.
Performs other related duties as requested.
Education/Licensure:
Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology
Passed ARRT examination earning the credentials of a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT (R)
