Transfers correctly annotated images into PACS. Develops and evaluates images for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Obtains all relevant patient information, and assesses physician's order and/or requisition for completeness by reviewing the clinical information, pertinent laboratory results and patient's chart to ensure the correct procedure is performed and proper patient preparation is administered on the correct patient. As well as educates and assists patients in hereditary cancer risk assessment testing. If mammography certified: Actively participate and maintain detailed follow up of BIRADS category 0 mammographic records to ensure compliance with MQSA/ACR requirements. If MRI certified: Screen patients, employees, and visitors to maintain a magnetically safe environment according to the American College of Radiology standards. Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and safety. Provide coverage as needed (i.e., in the event of call off or extended patient schedules). Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires. Obtains all relevant patient information, and assesses physician's order and/or requisition for completeness by reviewing the clinical information, pertinent laboratory results and patient's chart to ensure the correct procedure is performed and proper patient preparation is administered on the correct patient.
