The Urgent Care teams at Samaritan Health Services treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. If registry eligible, credential within six (6) months of hire required.
Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required. If a new graduate, temporary license upon hire and permanent license within six (6) months of hire required.
Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

The Radiologic Technologist provides the prescribed radiographic and fluoroscopic exams with the selection of proper technical factors required for each exam.
Primary Responsibilities:
Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.
Positions patients correctly for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams and select the proper technical factors required for each exam.
Assists radiologist during fluoroscopic exams and special procedures as required.
Provides accurate and complete exam and image documentation as it relates to CR and PACS
Provides radiation protection to patients and Clinic personnel in accordance with prescribed standards
Checks and report any equipment failure or maintenance problem to Imaging Department Manager
Prepares contrast media used in various examinations, assist radiologists in administering medias
Performs duties related to Film/PACS media library as needed
Assists IOS staff with scheduling and processing of patients as needed and appropriate

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Valid appropriate license issued by the State of Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
An exception to the requirements stated in #1 and #2 of this section is made for students of an approved school of radiologic technology that have completed all relevant exam competencies and are in good standing in the program overall. This exemption to sections 1 and 2 will be good for no longer than 12 months
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Thorough knowledge of human anatomy, radiation exposures, and positioning
Demonstrated ability to work compatibly with physicians, patients, and other staff
Must be willing to work weekends
Preferred Qualification:
1+ years of demonstrated success in a Radiology Department with comparable complexity to that of The Corvallis Clinic

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Radiology Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays and other imaging studies, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients' medical conditions. This role includes ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures and maintaining compliance with health regulations and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates and displays expertise and skill in the use and operation of x-ray control consoles, tube assemblies and lock systems to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Performs a full range of general radiology imaging studies, for example, chest abdomen and extremity images.
Responsible to the radiologists, lead technologist, and chief technologist for the quality of radiographic exams performed to assure a high level of acceptability of radiographs while minimizing patient dosage and reducing costs.
Practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patient, staff and self.
Assure compliance to radiation regulations wear film badges.
Be aware of and practice the safety policies/procedures of the medical center and participate in quality assurance activities as directed.
Schedules exams in the appropriate order when multiple procedures are requested.
Properly identifies the patient and the image.
Uses left and right markers. This is essential so that mistaken identity does not occur.
Be certain that the patient ID band and the request are identical.
Responsible to explain exams to competent patients so that the patient understands what is to be done as well as any adverse reactions, if any, are possible.
May be required by procedure or patient's condition to monitor vital signs, recognize allergic reactions and initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Qualifications
