What You'll Do:
Operate C-arm, fluoroscopy, and other radiographic devices during surgical and interventional procedures.
Properly position and shield patients to obtain optimal images while adhering to safety protocols.
Support surgical staff by maintaining the sterile environment and following infection control standards.
Monitor, adjust, and document image quality within hospital PACS systems.
Conduct routine equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly.
Educate surgical staff on safe imaging practices and ensure compliance with radiation safety policies.
Participate in on-call, evening, weekend, and emergency coverage as needed.
Required Skills:
Associate's degree or certification in Radiologic Technology.
Current ARRT certification.
State Radiologic Technologist license (as required).
1-2 years of clinical radiology experience, preferably in operating rooms or interventional radiology.
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, OR protocols, and patient safety.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with intraoperative imaging beyond basic radiography.
Familiarity with hospital PACS systems.
Additional certifications in radiation safety or advanced imaging.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Radiologic Technology degree or certification.
1-2 years of relevant clinical experience in a surgical or interventional setting.
Other Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Capacity to wear lead aprons and safety gear for long durations.
Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings, weekends, and emergency calls.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment within a surgical center setting.

Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The role involves performing basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services. The technologist demonstrates proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of CT scans with knowledge of processing CT systems.
Conduct procedures involving surgical/sterile techniques, studies with or without contrast media, and cross-sectional anatomy.
Provide quality patient care and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT) certification.
Active Arkansas State License (or ability to obtain with ARRT certification).
BLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT specialty.

Summary
The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Mercy -GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Education
High School Diploma required
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
Work Experience
Experience in a clinical setting preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
Essential Functions
Responsible for x-ray services as needed
Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
May need to push patient in a wheelchair
Patient Preparation and Rooming
Inform technical staff of patient flow.
Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit;
Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider.
Administrative
Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files.
Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care
Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed
Other responsibilities include:
Medical Team Support: Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment. Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
Patient Care: Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, and answering their questions.
Patient Positioning: Accurately positioning patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
Image Production: Selecting proper ionizing factors by adjusting/setting radiographic controls to capture clear, high-quality diagnostic images
Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning of X-ray equipment, and managing necessary supplies.
Radiation Safety: Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and implementing ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required.
Image Management: Verifying image quality and ensuring images are sent to radiologists for interpretation.
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics
and patient movement.
3. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
Skills:
1. Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
2. Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
3. Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
