Image Production: Selecting proper ionizing factors by adjusting/setting radiographic controls to capture clear, high-quality diagnostic images Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning of X-ray equipment, and managing necessary supplies. Radiation Safety: Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and implementing ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required. Image Management: Verifying image quality and ensuring images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Knowledge: 1. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols. 2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement. 3. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
