Essential Functions
Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures.
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology.
Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging.
Operates equipment safely and maintains SimonMed standards while performing call types of procedures.
Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Works under general supervision.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members
Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director
Ensure all Radiology workflows are followed and all Radiology reports cross correctly to EMR
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Support Specialist Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment
Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care
Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician

Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms
Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected
In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume
Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit
Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping
Ensure accuracy in documentation
Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed
Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required

- Provide mobile X Ray and EKG (if applicable) service to nursing homes, health care facilities, and
other miscellaneous facilities
Duties
- Perform and process X Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Unload portable X Ray equipment and take into facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x ray images.
- Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. (if required)
- Scan exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.
- Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.
- Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
- Maintain vehicle and x ray equipment.

Job Summary: Orange Park Imaging is looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join our fast-paced outpatient imaging center. In this role, you will perform high-quality radiologic exams and support patients throughout their imaging experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent technical skills and strong patient care abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families professionally, provide instructions, and answer questions regarding procedures
Schedule patients and assist with front desk/clerical duties as needed
Operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs of specified anatomical areas
Adjust equipment settings based on the procedure and maintain radiation safety standards
Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, bone density (DEXA) exams, and contrast media preparation
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and imaging rooms; report malfunctions promptly
Evaluate images for quality and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS
Adhere to all imaging safety guidelines and protocols
Participate in training and orientation of new staff or student technologists
Provide compassionate care to patients and assist with positioning and lifting as needed (up to 50 lbs)
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
Associate's Degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
Florida State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT certification in Radiology (RT(R))
BLS certification
One year of experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Proficiency in X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Bone Density (DEXA) exams
Working knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and radiologic equipment
Strong computer navigation and documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position Overview
Essential Job Functions
● Take patient medical history before an exam. (10%)
● Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. (10%)

● Positions patient and uses immobilization devices in order to obtain optimum views of specific areas of the body. (10%)
