Essential Functions: Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures from defined protocols. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging exams. Ensure equipment is in working order, report equipment malfunctions to supervisor. Enter procedures on the superbill. Complete pending radiologic procedures. Import and burn CDs as needed for physicians and patients. Maintain examination rooms by stocking necessary medical and radiologic supplies. Escort patients to and from waiting rooms and exam rooms. Attend meetings and seminars as needed. Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adherence to HIPPA guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Competencies: Knowledge of x-ray procedures and protocols. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of Radiology equipment, including safety hazards. Work Environment: Work is performed in a clinical environment. Responsibilities X-ray Technician Duties Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during the x-ray exam Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Education: * High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire required. Licensure / Certification / Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.     Job DescriptionSalary: $22.70+ per hour Family Health Care is seeking to hire a full-time Radiology Technologistat our clinic in Grant, Michigan. General Function: Performs a variety of specialized technical tasks in radiology imaging to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities. These tests are performed for patients, as ordered by the provider. Primary Responsibilities: Completes the required process in performing diagnostic studies for interpretation. Manage the required distribution and handling of x-ray reports and films to the appropriate provider(s), patient, or outside facilities in a timely and efficient manner. Follows radiation safety guidelines for themselves and others. Actively assists in maintaining the quality control program for general radiography. Actively assists in performing required clerical and maintenance functions in the department.
