The Radiologic Technologist provides X-Ray and CT services. • Perform X-Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients. • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. • Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient. • Adjusts immobilization devices, moves equipment into specified positions and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors. • Providing explanations of treatment and answering questions for patients. • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding and knowledge of exposure factors. • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. • Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events. • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required including 6 months within the last year. Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified. Mush have ARRT CT certification/registration. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. Education Required: Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfil this requirement. Physical Requirements: Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs. Other Special Qualifications: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred. Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project. Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate. Additional Information Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
