Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position. State licensure if required by law.
BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Reviews patient history, initiates Radiographic images based on physician order and prioritizes procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation

This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process

Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate

Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty

Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotatinghour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Summary:
The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.

Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately
Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation
Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality
Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital's system
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services
Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities

ECH will support training for CT certification and allocate time for studying for the registry with a two year commitment. Leaving prior to two years will require paying back for the time for studying.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Medical Support Specialist Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment

State Radiology Technologist License Must obtain RAD within 12 months of hire if currently hold RADT,
One of: ARRT (CI) ARRT (CV) or ARRT (VI) or RCIS or RCES. Must obtain credential within 18 months of hire.
