Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Essential Job Functions: Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility. Ensure equipment is functioning properly, troubleshoot equipment issues, and report any malfunctions to the proper personnel. Follow established guidelines to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety. Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Review and evaluate images for clarity, density, and contrast, adjusting as necessary. Ensure images are of high diagnostic quality for interpretation. Follow physician-specific protocols when performing x-ray exams and communicate updates as needed. Accurately document and record patient information and imaging details in EPIC. Submit images to PACS and maintain radiation logs for the State of Wisconsin. Prepare imaging copies for patients, outside providers, attorneys, etc. Communicate effectively with immediate coworkers as well as those throughout the clinic. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate interpretation of images. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology room and equipment following infection control protocols. Operate C-Arm equipment in both aseptic and sterile environments when assigned.
