Industrial X-ray CT Technician
Glimpse
X-ray technician job in Somerville, MA
Industrial X-ray CT Technician (Full-Time)
$52,000 - $72,800
In-office, Somerville, MA
The last decade has been incredibly exciting for electric mobility. However, the electrification of the transportation industry has scaled while relying on an insufficient set of quality control tools. This has led to uncomfortably high rates of battery pack failure and multi-billion-dollar safety recalls. In our view, every headline of electric vehicles and e-bikes catching fire is a major impediment towards an all-electric future.
After having spent a few years in the trenches of battery and electric vehicle factories at Tesla and Toyota, Glimpse's cofounders developed a vision for a one-stop-shop battery Quality Management Solution, which they actualized through the launch of the Glimpse Portal in March 2024. Today, Glimpse counts some of the world's largest battery producers and OEMs, such as Lucid Motors and NASA, among its customers.
Role
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), in-office role. Reporting to and trained by Glimpse's Head of Operations, you will operate Glimpse's industrial X-ray CT scanner to produce cutting-edge, high-quality CT scans of batteries. You will also operate 3D printers and handle shipments of live battery cells.
You will be instrumental in supporting Glimpse's rapidly growing Scan on Demand business, which helps our customers ensure the quality and safety of their batteries. While you don't need to have prior experience with X-ray CT or battery quality, we're looking for a quick learner who can operate in a fast-paced startup environment. Above all else, we're seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who can work under deadlines and is excited about learning new skills and joining a dynamic, hard-working team.
Our culture and values
A working draft of our culture and values aspirations can be found here.
