Operate X-ray equipment to perform embolization, Y-90s, and other studies, as appropriate.
Position patient and select appropriate options to ensure best-case imaging.
Observe patient while in the procedure area for change in status and make appropriate intervention or contact primary care givers for instruction.
Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
Offer detailed explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions as appropriate.

Prepares patient for exam using proper positioning/immobilization, and giving proper instructions throughout.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, required. Technical Diploma, Graduate of AMA Approved School of Radiology or Imaging Services, required. Current New York State Radiologic technician license OR New Graduate with temporary Permit. Must become registered before expiration of temporary permit, required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required within 6 month of hire. Strong communication (both written and oral), problem solving, and customer service skills, required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook and entry of data into various systems/applications

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the range of $28.00 up to $50.00 hourly depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.
