Halifax Health Express Care is now hiring an X-Ray Radiology Technologist / Medical Assistant. We are hiring for full time for our clinics in Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond Beach, and Deltona. We are looking for someone who is dependable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic.
We are hiring full time positions which include benefits. You must be able to work up to a 12 hour shift which includes select weekends and holidays, with 3-4 days per week.
Job Description
Perform X-ray tech duties in compliance with department and legal requirements. Assist patients and healthcare providers and perform medical assistance under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs medical assistant and xray procedures
Assist the providers with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms; taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients
Assist provider in all special procedures
Assist with any procedures taught through formal training or by physician
Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms
Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required
Clean wounds, applies dressings, draws labs and splints as directed by provider
Other duties may consist of notifying patients of lab results, giving vaccines, immunizations and medications prescribed by the doctor; lab work consisting of throat cultures, and urinalysis.
Receives and handles phone calls.
Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
· Follow departmental protocols relating to the acquisition of diagnostic radiologic imaging.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
· Follow departmental protocols relating to the acquisition of diagnostic radiologic imaging.
· Manage department work-flow and assist in guiding staff towards the efficient completion of x-ray orders.

· Assist in management of cast-checks, regarding patient care, direction of staff and assisting staff appropriately.
