Prepares patient for X Ray procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, providing instructions related to breathing, and observing. Enters required patient information accurately into the computer; selects appropriate protocol and scans patients in accordance with protocol within acceptable time frames; makes adjustments as necessary. Transports equipment and patients in a safe manner to prevent injury to self, patients or employees and prevent damage to equipment Performs X Ray procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols. Predictable and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position Performs assigned responsibilities as X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Mammography and procedure technologist as necessary based on competencies and certifications.
