Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiography preferred, but not mandatory
ARRT Certification and valid State License from LSRTBE
Current BLS certification
Proficiency in general diagnostic imaging, basic fluoroscopy, and surgical procedures
Experience with digital radiography machines (Philips, Agfa, Siemens, Carestream) and GE OEC C-Arm
Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Meditech
Ability to adapt quickly to floating between sites within a 15-minute driving radius
Strong charting and documentation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with trauma patient imaging (Level 2 ER)
Knowledge of surgical radiography procedures
Prior experience working in multiple clinical settings or as a traveler
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification in radiologic technology (ARRT)
State licensure in good standing and recent imaging experience in inpatient, outpatient, and ER settings
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work a variable 40-hour week including days and occasional nights
Flexibility to work every other weekend as part of a rotating schedule
Participation in holiday shifts (must work 2 out of 3 major holidays)

Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy, such as the location, appearance and function of various major and minor systems susceptible to Radiologic exposure and the physical abnormalities with most diseases or lesions which are customarily depicted by the procedures performed in the IR Clinic, in order to interpret examination requests accurately
Demonstrate knowledge required to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.
IR Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. IR Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

You will operate imaging equipment such as X-Rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT) to assist in guiding small instruments such as catheters through blood vessels or other pathways.
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will work alongside physicians and nurses in our hospital specializing in interventional radiology.
Responsibilities:
Associate performs quality Diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
He/she operates diagnostic equipment and processes images.
Associate prepares patient's X-ray room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated and delivers patient services using various imaging modalities.
Associate practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
He/she maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and co- workers.
Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals.
Training of practitioners and other staff in relevant aspects of radiation protection.

Associates Degree required - Graduate from an accredited Radiology Program.
Active ARTT, CMRT, or RDMS certification required.
