Effectively uses electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and access pertinent patient data and imaging results. Assignment Level II: 1. Performs procedures on patients whose conditions require specialized expertise. 2. Assists Radiologists, other physicians and allied health care professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures. 3. Performs diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance. 4. Monitors patient and equipment condition during procedure and reports changes to appropriate health care professional. 5. Assists and guides radiographers in the performance of a wide variety of x-ray procedures. 6. Trains and assists radiographers in a wide variety of x-ray procedures. 7. Plans, schedules and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the area to ensure continuous flow of work. 8. Supervises radiographers and ancillary personnel assigned to the area. 9. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure operational viability of the area. Assignment Level III: 1. Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit. 2. Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services. 3. Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel and allied health care professionals. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures and equipment. 4. May perform radiologic procedures, as required. 5. Performs special procedures including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography). 6. Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings. 7. Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control and maintenance of technical equipment. 8.
