Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support the Northern Power Company (NSP) Resource Planning team in our Integrated System Planning organization in Minneapolis, MN. The paid internship provides an opportunity to showcase your analytical ability to support various resource planning workstreams in our five-state Upper Midwest service territory. The program provides practical work experience to develop your existing skillset, present to leadership, and collaborate with key internal stakeholders. The intern will be relied upon to play a role in achieving resource planning objectives and goals. The program will allow you to apply what you've learned in school and further enhance your knowledge through hands-on training and provide opportunities to network and learn with other interns across the Integrated System Planning organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the weekly meetings to track various resource planning workstreams
Contribute to the development of the next NSP resource expansion plan. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
working with internal stakeholders to gather input assumptions for modeling;
preparing presentation materials for external stakeholder engagement;
conducting research on various MISO workshops on resource accreditation, planning reserve margin and other relevant topics;
conducting research on cost assumptions for various generation types and emerging technologies;
performing data analytical work to support strategic decisions on generation asset retirement, extension and expansion;
Contribute to executing Request for Proposals to solicit new long-term capacity and energy resources. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working with internal subject matter experts to evaluate bids using financial, economic, environmental and other criteria;
Gathering bid information to support modeling effort;
Preparing presentation materials for executive approval.
This position is for a June 1, 2026 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship's initial term based on the candidate's successful performance and Xcel Energy's business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Current student, current in Graduate School
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in engineering, finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, business, data analytics
Able to commute to the corporate office in Minneapolis, MN
Able to work full-time during the summer up to 40 hours a week/ part time during the spring up to 20 hours a week.

Summary:
Energy Transfer is seeking a SCADA Specialist to perform real time SCADA system support and administration for a Pipeline SCADA system. This position interacts with Pipeline Control to ensure they can control and monitor pipelines safely and securely through SCADA HMI systems. SUMMARY: Responsible for preserving the hospital assets, information security and control structures. Monitors network maintenance and develops network troubleshooting methods to reduce downtime and lower repair costs. Monitors user accounts that utilize the EMR system. Works closely with Chief Information Officer and HIPAA compliance personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage information technology and computer systems.
Monitor, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Work closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Manage user accounts utilizing the EMR system.
Perform maintenance on domain server, wireless devices and hospital printers.
Audit systems on network devices and accounts.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Responsible for working in conjunction with home office IT professionals by assisting with the implementation of the disaster plan in the event of a crisis to maintain company functionality.
Serve as HIPAA Privacy/Security Officer.
Periodically review and recommend updates to HIPAA Policies and Procedures
Maintain the logs necessary to comply with HIPAA Policies and Procedures.
Conduct periodic technical and non-technical evaluations of Hospital efforts to assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI accessed or maintained by the organization.
Manage staff authorization to access PHI and termination of access authorization.
Develop recommendations to address issues identified in HIPAA Risk Assessment.
Maintains confidentiality of Patient and Hospital matters.
Attend continuing education classes as requested and required.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned requested and/or required.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
Working knowledge of the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, Security Rule and Hi-Tech Act.
Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.
Proven ability to problem-solve and follow through with effective solutions.
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Hands on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED.
2-3 year experience in information technology management, preferred.
Strong problem solving and communication skills, preferred.
LANGUAGE/READING SKILLS:
Communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Additional language of Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities
Technical Duties
Assist with identifying and implementing operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that meet business requirements

Formal Education & Certifications
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 1 plus years of equivalent IT experience
