The position entails the execution of setup, changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance for all equipment used in the production processes in various Classified/Non-Classified areas and performs the role of a Packaging Technician as needed. It requires the ability to perform mechanical and electronic troubleshooting in order to ensure optimal equipment performance. Promptly escalate concerns to Lead Technician and Process Facilitator as needed. * Perform batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries. Perform mathematical computation as needed. * Be familiar with job-related safety procedures and hazards including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, human safety, material handling, chemical handling, and spill controls. Report all discrepancies to process facilitator. * Perform work requirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and established safety and quality procedures. This role requires strong collaboration across departments to ensure seamless execution of newscasts and programming. The Operations Technician will contribute to all station efforts, both in-house and in remote locations. This role reports to the Chief Engineer. Responsibilities Operate studio equipment, including robotic camera systems, audio boards, production switchers, graphics systems, and video servers. Manage master control operations, including switchers, automation systems, video servers, EAS devices, graphics systems, and monitoring systems. Complete and maintain daily FCC compliance requirements. Provide technical and production support for newscasts, special projects, and other station initiatives. Partner with the technology team to support critical on-air systems and resolve issues efficiently. Edit video and audio content using Adobe products as needed. Demonstrate adaptability by quickly learning new technologies and responding effectively to changing production requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by engineering management. Requirements Minimum of six months of experience in a commercial television station, production facility, or equivalent college-level experience. Experience with master control automation is preferred. Strong knowledge of broadcast television operations. Proficiency with computers and PC-based systems. Ability to maintain accuracy and composure under pressure while managing multiple tasks. Skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the judgment to escalate issues appropriately. Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends. Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Strong interest in broadcasting, television, and emerging media technologies. Commitment to teamwork and collaboration. In-person attendance is required. Prior experience in broadcast news production, technical training, or college-level technical coursework preferred.
