This is a proactive outreach and negotiation role. You will represent the organization in discussions with insurance payors, speak with confidence and authority on network participation and reimbursement topics, and work closely with internal leadership to improve financial and operational outcomes. This role has direct influence on reimbursement, access, and growth. You will be on the front lines representing the organization to insurance payors, shaping how services are reimbursed, how patients access care, and how Midwest Express Clinic expands into new offerings and communities. Growth opportunity As the organization continues to scale, this role offers a path to broader responsibility in managed care strategy, payor negotiations, and network leadership based on performance. Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Lead ongoing outreach and relationship management across approximately 20 to 30 insurance payor contracts Serve as a credible, confident point of contact with payor representatives, capable of navigating escalations, negotiations, and problem resolution Communicate clearly and professionally with payors, presenting data, trends, and positions with confidence and authority Identify reimbursement opportunities including rate improvements, carve outs for new services, and expansions into new offerings Support and participate in payor contract negotiations and amendments in collaboration with senior leadership Track and resolve credentialing issues, directory inaccuracies, and network listing errors that impact patient access Identify and communicate trends such as denials, underpayments, network exclusions, and operational friction points Research payor benchmarks, competitor participation, and market insights to support negotiation strategy Identify payor plans or networks we are not currently contracted with and develop entry strategies Build clear presentations and summaries that translate data into compelling narratives for internal and external audiences Help articulate Midwest Express Clinic's value to payors, including access, coverage density, patient volume, quality metrics, and community impact What we are looking for 2 to 5 years of experience in payor contracting, provider relations, network management, healthcare consulting, or related healthcare roles Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently and professionally with insurance representatives and external stakeholders Comfortable speaking with authority on contracting, credentialing, reimbursement, and network topics Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead discussions rather than simply respond Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret reimbursement data, trends, and benchmarks Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple payor relationships simultaneously Experience in urgent care, outpatient healthcare, or multi site healthcare organizations is a plus Ideal for someone seeking ownership, visibility, and growth
