Job Summary:
The Trade Compliance Manager leads Xylem's regional trade compliance function, ensuring adherence to all applicable import, export, and customs regulations. This role manages a team of three trade compliance specialists and partners closely with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and government authorities to maintain robust trade governance and enable efficient, compliant global operations. The Manager ensures that the organization's policies and procedures are in line with legal requirements and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Trade Compliance Specialists, fostering professional growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Build strong partnerships across procurement, logistics, supply chain, finance, and engineering teams to align trade compliance strategy with business priorities.
- Drive a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the organization.
Customs & Import/Export Compliance:
- Oversee import and export activities to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including CBP, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other applicable authorities.
- Manage relationships with licensed U.S. customs brokers, ensuring accurate and timely entry filings, proper HTS classification, and valuation.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for all import/export transactions, including commercial invoices, country-of-origin declarations, and licensing requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on tariff classifications, ECCN determinations, and free trade agreement (FTA/USMCA) qualifications.
- Develop and maintain internal trade compliance policies, SOPs, and recordkeeping standards consistent with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
Advisory & Risk Management:
- Serve as a subject matter expert advising business leaders on trade compliance implications of new projects, supply chain changes, and cross-border initiatives.
- Monitor evolving global trade regulations and assess potential business impact, communicating updates to key stakeholders.
- Support audits and investigations, coordinate with internal/external auditors, and manage corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to teams on risk management best practices.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies, including denied party screening, export control checks, and proper licensing.
Continuous Improvement & Digitalization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate trade compliance processes through ERP integration and data analytics.
- Lead or participate in corporate trade compliance initiatives, including global process harmonization and training.
- Support ERP implementation related to trade master data, HS/ECCN assignment, and trade control modules.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in trade compliance or customs operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of U.S. and global trade regulations (CBP, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, BIS, etc.).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) and trade compliance tools (e.g., Amber Road, SAP GTS).
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
- Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (preferred) or equivalent international trade certification (e.g., CUSECO, CCS).
The estimated salary range for this position is $93,900.00 - 125,000.00 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. What you will do
The primary role of the Customer Care Sales Representative is to maintain and grow sales within a defined customer base and geographical territory. What you will do
The HVAC Service Sales Representative is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the HVAC Service business! You will be responsible for initiating, establishing, and building profitable service relationships between new customers and Johnson Controls (JCI). What you will do

As assigned, uses ability to communicate with technical and non-technical buyers, suppliers, and other JCI internal Partners (Systems & Service) to provide technical, process or financial support in the creation and maintenance of Medium sized, complex M&V solutions.
Ability to successfully work with client on-site staff to ensure operations and maintenance of assets/equipment are within contractual terms. The Major Projects Security Systems Project Manager plays a vital role within our Building Solutions North America business at Johnson Controls. * Review Specifications, position Seepex products and attempt to gain a competitive advantage on bid jobs.
* Direct Environmental Aftermarket Sales Partners and TM's to call on plants as needed.
* Analyze named competitors and record any competitive differences.
* Select Seepex equipment and recommend to Environmental Application Engineers.
* Hold pre-bid meetings with Environmental SCP's to review pricing and set strategy, bid Project with Environmental SCP, and record bid price along with any other relevant data for tracking of projects and report bid results as they become available.
* Identify key competitors in the Environmental market and develop presentations showing seepex advantages compared to these competitors. Stay informed of competitor activities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
* 3+ years' experience selling value-based services
* Valid drivers' licenses and a safe driving record

Pay Range:
The total pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is 90,000-110,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.

What you will do
Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month technical sales development program for Recent College Graduates that focuses on creating market share by strategic selling Johnson Controls' HVAC products and services to commercial customers. In this program you will have a chance to apply your technical engineering knowledge and business acumen to work with customers to better understand their product and project needs by being the subject matter expert. As part of the program, you will participate in a 6-month training and development program combining classroom, field orientation, and on the job training. You will learn our mechanical equipment and service offerings, customer relationship techniques and leadership skills in preparation for supporting customers in your territory alongside the sales team. You will be prepared to consult with architects, engineers, and building owners on product selections; partner with and learn from internal experts and deliver on business goals. You will be a critical part of a local sales team and a national network of sales professionals.
How you will do it
Estimate job bids and prepare proposals with contractors, architects and building owners
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
Complete sales calls to generate new business and build on existing relationships
Present solutions to customers for consideration
Collect and analyze market intelligence
Turn projects over to operations team for execution and installations
What we look for
Required:
Currently pursuing an Engineering bachelor's degree and graduating by December 2025 or June 2026
Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quickly
Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Preferred:
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree, strongly preferred
Previous sales or engineering experiences through co-ops, internships, part-time or full-time jobs (preferred)
