What you will do
As an HVAC Electrical Controls Installer under specific supervision, performs routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience. The intern will report to the EHS Leader and will gain experience from our local EHS Team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with implementation and administration of all matters related to plant EHS and Security processes.
Responsible for an EHS-related project
Assist with Employee engagement activities including Safety Committee and Training
Prioritize and maintain EHS related documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer students majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related fields.

Location Profile
Novelis' Guthrie facility is located in Guthrie Kentucky approximately 30 minutes from the Tennessee state line near Clarksville Tennessee and Hopkinsville Kentucky. As Novelis' newest facility Guthrie will house a heat treatment and pretreatment line that will serve the North American automotive market and employ 125 residents. In addition to hunting fishing and hiking residents enjoy the Guthrie Transportation Museum which is the hub of the city's renewal efforts. The Guthrie team enjoys partnerships with Hopkinsville Community College Todd County High School Guthrie Fire Department and several local Rotary Clubs.
