Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate Swiss screw machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances. Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and setup sheets to ensure accurate machining and part conformance. Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for each job. Perform first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot setup and machining issues and implement corrective actions independently. Optimize machining processes for cycle time, tool life, and part quality. Collaborate with programmers and engineers to refine machining strategies and resolve technical challenges. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Document setup procedures and best practices for repeatability and knowledge sharing.
