Overview
This Research Associate 2 position is in the Department of Psychiatry and will play a critical role in a multi-site psychiatric drug trial, conducting structured psychiatric assessments with study participants, whose interviews will be conducted in a fully virtual setting. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or a related field, with significant hands-on experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting structured psychiatric interviews and rating scales. The position works within a multidisciplinary environment, with colleagues both internally and externally in a cooperative manner exercising respectfulness, and professionalism. The primary focus will be to support quality clinical data collection while ensuring compliance with the study protocol and overall objectives.
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic criteria (DSM-5 or ICD-10/11).
2. Experience in clinical trials.
3. Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic data capture systems.
4. Familiarity with HIPAA and human subject's regulations.
5. Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Also, ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, or related mental health discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience conducting structured psychiatric assessments and clinical ratings in research or clinical settings. Familiarity with FDA regulations and GCP. Experience with REDCap.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Carries out research within the scope of the established study protocol. Adheres to all human subjects regulations as defined by Yale University and the federal government that pertain to research studies. 2. Develops criteria for admission of study subjects based on goals and objectives of project. 3. Determines potential sources of funding and prospective partnerships. 4. Evaluates feasibility of accepting potential projects through analysis of staffing needs, resource requirements, financial costs, and current planned capacity of group. Negotiates contracts and/or changes with funder. 5. Develops original HIC/IRB submissions. Based on knowledge of science and research goals, collaborates with PIs on major revisions and contributes to scientific protocols. Plans and implements changes. 6. Develops forms, questionnaires and the application of research techniques; writes procedures manuals for data collection and coding. 7. Responsible for the documentation and transmission of study data. Ensures that report forms are accurately documented and completed in a timely manner at each site location. 8. Works independently to develop manage and organize multi site studies. Serves as primary coordinator between University, non-Yale collaborators, pharmaceutical companies, HIC, IRB and funding sources. 9. Performs descriptive and multivariate statistical analyses of data, using computer software. 10. Designs and implements quality control measures to ensure accurate collection and processing of data. 11. Contributes in-depth, original thought and relevance to written reports and to the writing of abstracts and manuscripts. Overview
This position will primarily involve John Cho completing a scoping review assessing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to assess the quality, context, and delivery of clinical communications between providers and patients. This scoping review is critical to both our current grant, involving a clinical trial assessing the implementation and effectiveness of clinical decision support tools to support clinician adherence to best practices for the management of pediatric overweight and obesity, as well as our planned grant renewal submissions. John may also contribute to our planned cost analyses, which again will impact future grant submissions.

This position will report to the Occupational Therapy Program Director. The Director of Scholarship and Research advances the university's mission, purpose, and goals by providing program-specific expertise and leadership in scholarship, research, and innovation. This role fosters a culture of academic integrity, supports accreditation and licensure compliance, and ensures that graduate outcomes meet professional, academic, workplace, and placement expectations. As an educator, role model, mentor, and facilitator, the Director focuses on doctoral-level scholarship and culminating projects, working closely with the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator to assist students in developing, refining, and enacting scholarly projects that uphold academic rigor and professional relevance. In addition to these responsibilities, the Director actively supports department initiatives, ensuring internal consistency and alignment with programmatic accreditation standards. The Director actively participates in the assessment of student research projects, helping to ensure that students meet prescribed scholarly outcomes. The Director serves as a liaison between the occupational therapy program and potential research partners, while promoting the ongoing development of professional collaboration and scholarship across the curriculum.

EDUCATION:
* Must hold a research doctorate (PhD, ScD, DrPH, or OTD with a research focus) from an accredited university with experience in curriculum development, research, and supervision of graduate projects

EXPERIENCE:
* Teaching experience preferred. Instructional experience must be at institutions that are Title IV funding eligible
* Minimum of two years supervising or mentoring student research or scholarship projects at a minimum of a master's level
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
* Candidates who are Occupational Therapy Practitioners must be certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) and must hold a current New York State license (or be eligible for licensure)

Social Development Research Group (SDRG) is looking for bilingual temporary hourly staff to conduct brief telephone surveys with parents of children ages 0-11 for the Best Starts for Kids Health Survey. The position is from **January - August 2026** .
Best Starts for Kids (BSK) is a voter-approved initiative to improve the health and well-being of all King County residents by investing in promotion, prevention and early intervention for children, youth, families and communities. The Best Starts for Kids Health Survey will collect information from families in King County as one way to evaluate if the BSK initiative is effective.
**Basic Function:**
**NOTE: This is NOT a medical or laboratory position.**
The function of the Bilingual Research Interviewer will involve calling participants to encourage their participation in the survey. Research Interviewers will use various tools (phone, text, email), resources and techniques to recruit and encourage participants to complete web or phone surveys. When not contacting participants, team members may do other tasks such as data entry, filing, preparing mailings, or assisting other team members, as needed. Telephone interviewers will receive training and will be expected to demonstrate mastery of basic interviewing techniques before beginning work on the project.
Training and team meetings will be held in-person at our offices in the University District. Contacting participants will be done remotely after training is completed. Calling hours are Monday - Sunday from 8am - 8pm. Bilingual Telephone Interviewers will be scheduled for 5

This Faculty Research Assistant (FRA) position is a member of the statewide team of the Oregon State University (OSU) Division of Extension and Engagement's (division) Extension Family and Community Health (FCH) program affiliated with the College of Health (COH). This position will be located on the Corvallis Campus at Oregon State University and housed within the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families, and may work remotely with an approved Flexible Work Arrangement Agreement. The individual in this position must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
This Faculty Research Assistant will provide support to the Oregon Child Care Research Partnership in completing a federally-funded grant project and required activities in partnership with the Oregon Department of Education's Early Learning Division. This project is scheduled to end in fall 2026.
The FRA will support a grant project awarded by the Office of Planning Research and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Working with the Oregon Child Care Partnership Team, the Research Assistant will work with the project PIs to coordinate and conduct research and evaluation activities that are relevant to, and in partnership with, local and state community partners.

85% Data collection, Management and Analysis
Coordinate and conduct research and scholarship related to grant. These activities may include:
* Work with project team to plan and implement data collection (e.g., focus groups, interviews, surveys), management, and analysis on designated activities.
* Support project management, including scheduling, participant recruitment, and communication with partners and stakeholders
* Lead translation of program materials and data (this requires fluency in Spanish verbal and written communication)
