A Brief Overview
Accountable for providing high quality professional care to patients and families under the supervision of the Surgery Leader and/or Surgeon within the surgical suites and other clinical areas within their scope of practice.
What you will do
Assists surgeon within the scope of competency and standards of practice. Utilizes techniques of infection control/universal precautions. Washes and sterilizes equipment and keeps a clean operating room.
Rotates in SPD area cleaning & sterilizing instruments for OR, floors, ER, & clinics.
Updates preference cards to ensure all team members can perform procedures as per surgeon requests.
Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedure, and standards of practice.
Verifies patient identity. Verifies operative procedure, operative site, surgeon, and consent.
Applies and monitors the principles of aseptic technique throughout the intraoperative period.
Performs sponge, needle and instrument counts according to policy procedure.
Participates in the evaluation of new supplies, equipment and/or instruments.
Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments according to instructions.

Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions through troubleshooting production problems and taking preventive or corrective action

Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and process specifications to visualize layouts and guide work
Collect, analyze, summarize, and communicate information, irregularities, or trends in order to prepare mechanical maintenance reports to support ongoing maintenance program requirements
Collaborate with production departments and maintenance shop personnel to ensure maintenance requirements are completed in timely fashion
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment practicing 6S principles, environmental sustainability, and continuous improvement related to maintenance processes and procedures
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, forklifts, scissor or boom lifts to position equipment and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
Maintain all equipment by performing routine repair work, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance
Perform minor repairs which should include, mechanical, plumbing, building and grounds to keep the entire facility in working order
Coordinate any electrical repairs with electrician or contracted Electrician
Responsible for observing and following all safety procedures and regulations

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

Experience:
• Must be a GM Certified Master Technician
• GM Certifications are current (Preferred), but if not current, less than 4 years since last at GM Dealership
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Perform assigned work as outlined on repair orders
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately
• Interpret diagnostic codes and data to diagnose problems
• Perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs on vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems
• Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, adhering to GM guidelines and recommendations
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with all vehicles and equipment
•Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Maintain detailed records of all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings
• Conduct quality control checks on completed work to verify accuracy and customer readiness
• Keep work area neat and clean and are accountable for all tools/parts used
• Able to work on gas, diesel, hybrid, and/or EV
• Ability to train or mentor technicians
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
Requirements:
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician certification or manufacturer-specific certifications are highly preferred
• General Motors Master Certified. Must be at minimum a B or A level tech to qualify for position.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and tools
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the job
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above Company standards. Documents services performed. Follows Company and manufacturer service guidelines. Follows safety rules and regulations. Regularly attends formal training to remain proficient in changing automotive technology. Maintains clean and organized service department. Maintains clean and organized warehouse, showroom and building exterior. Performs other tasks, based on the requirements and instructions of the Service Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent - experience preferred, but we will train motivated candidates. Physical Requirements: Good physical health including ability to frequently lift 60 pounds. Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting, pushing, standing, stooping and walking. Occasional climbing, crawling, crouching and reaching. Working Conditions: Required to work at varying temperature and humidity. Frequently subjected to vibrations, mechanical and electrical hazards. We are proud our sales consultants earn an average annual salary of $40,000 to $64,000, combining a base hourly rate plus uncapped commission. We provide paid training and a guaranteed ramp-up rate during your first 60 days of employment.
Employees accrue paid time off each pay period at a rate of no less than 40 hours per year for their first year and 80 hours per year each year thereafter. You are entitled to minimum requirements for paid sick leave under appropriate state law if applicable.
