Enter fuel amounts into computer on tractor. Inform Supervisor of backhauls - refer to backhaul list. Set up shuttles. Inform supervisor of breakdowns in equipment. Contain spills and inform supervisor. Report equipment defects. Check that all wheel chock blocks are being used. Perform temperature checks on trailers for freezer and cooler. Make sure temps are set correctly and maintained. Be sure all pallet trailers are in good condition and safe to be moved. Tag out-of-service trailers and/or move to appropriate storage location. Respond to requests in a timely manner for trailer moves in and out of doors. Maintain accurate route sheet calling out new trailers, out-of-service trailers and trailers returning to service. Provide coverage for shuttle and route services as needed (Class A required).
