This position is responsible for providing support for trailer movement at the distribution center, as well as assisting preparation of trailers for shipping and monitoring the status of loaded trailers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Drive tractor or yard truck, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure. Clean and spot trailers to specified doors or lot locations. Fuel tractor or trailer and at times wash the equipment. Inspect trailers for defects. Back LTL or drop trailers into designated receiving door. Be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to accomplish the essential job functions. Comply with company work rules and safety rules. Insure attendance and punctuality within company standards. Be able to lift, lower, carry, push, pull dividers and bulkheads inside trailers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center, Transportation Department, or Transportation shop. This position requires the teammate to work outside majority of the time. May require working in hot and cold temperature extremes, exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components. Working conditions could contain moderate noise, vibration of vehicle and extreme weather conditions depending on climate. Must be able to drive tractor or yard truck safely in adverse conditions, including darkness, rain, wind, snow, or ice. Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times

**Position** : Yard Jockey - Class A- 2nd Shift
**Location** : Frederick, Maryland
The duties of the Yard Jockey - Class A are to: A. Do a morning inspection for each yard tractor, (check oil, water, transmission fluid, tires, lights and mirrors (etc.) B. Make sure the case dock has trailers loaded with empty milk cases to unload so the plant can run continuous without any interruptions. C. Make sure the cart dock has trailers to unload and reload. D. Start all units before loading to pre cool and check to make sure they are working properly. E. Bring up the route trailers to be unloaded (back in to take the cases and carts off) so they will be ready to load when load out calls for them. F. Shuttle trucks back and forth from truck lot to Dairy for loading. G. Fuel up trailer units as needed and turn in fuel slips to the garage. H. Shuttle supplies from warehouse to the Dairy. I. Turn in keys from loaded trucks to the proper drawer for drivers to use in the morning. J. Check temperature on units record on sheet provided. K.
