Job Overview
Macy's Yard Drivers perform all functions related to the process of moving trailers within the facility as dictated by the Management team.
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement
Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances. In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.

**Responsibilities**
This position will support the Springfield Transportation domicile that handles the retail freight of Bob Evans Farms.
Our Yard Hostlers must have a valid Class A CDL along with a driving record free of any DOT recordable accidents within the past 18 months. Yard Hostlers will also be expected to occasionally perform dock work, when needed.

**Qualifications**
- Must perform yard checks; which encompasses temperature validations, verifying load contents, fuel levels, etc.
- Inspection of freight and loading conditions prior to signing outbound Bill of Lading documents
- Trailer cleanliness inspections
- Completion of daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR)
- Proper reviews of all requisite shipping documents for pre-loaded outbound shipments
- Documentation of trailer pre-cool temperatures and setpoints
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in both our cross dock and drop lots

Position Summary:
As a Yard Jockey/Distribution Spotter at Aunt Millie's, you'll be responsible for ensuring the organized flow of trailers in and out of the parking yard, prioritizing safety at all times. Provide guidance to transport carriers in accordance with company procedures.
Inspect trailers for any issues, including tire conditions, marker lights, mud flaps, air hoses, and brakes, and make necessary repairs when possible. Coordinate with vendor mechanics for on-site repairs.
Maintain an organized trailer parking lot by optimizing the arrangement of trailers.
Perform driver check-in and check-out processes.
Keep the work area, including the Spotter Tractor, clean and organized.
Carry a walkie-talkie and flashlight at all times during the shift.
Familiarize oneself with and adhere to all aspects of the Toolbox program.
Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
Execute all tasks in compliance with safety protocols.
Perform sanitation duties, including proper lockout/tagout procedures, sweeping trailers before loading, and cleaning the shipping area at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities
Moves tractor/trailers to and from loading / receiving doors of the Distribution Center.
Perform visual inspection of shuttle trailers for road readiness.
Direct all drivers to the correct/assigned door.
Park trucks and/or trailers.
Check fluid levels (fuel) - notify supervisor if low. Enter fuel amounts into computer on tractor.
Inform Supervisor of backhauls - refer to backhaul list.
Set up shuttles.
Inform supervisor of breakdowns in equipment. Contain spills and inform supervisor. Report equipment defects. Check that all wheel chock blocks are being used.
Perform temperature checks on trailers for freezer and cooler. Make sure temps are set correctly and maintained.
Be sure all pallet trailers are in good condition and safe to be moved. Tag out-of-service trailers and/or move to appropriate storage location.
Respond to requests in a timely manner for trailer moves in and out of doors.
Maintain accurate route sheet calling out new trailers, out-of-service trailers and trailers returning to service.
Provide coverage for shuttle and route services as needed (Class A required).
All other related yard tasks (cranking landing gear, etc)
Qualifications
CDL Class A License preferred, minimum six (6) months driving experience
Current medical card required
Must have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with DCP guidelines for hiring
Must be able to operate a manual and automatic transmission tractor
On Board Computer/Electronic Log System Experience preferred
Ability to work well with little supervision

Yard Driver
Cincinnati, OH
The Equipment Operator/Yard Driver for Cincinnati, OH will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This includes loading / unloading trucks, preparing waste shipments, reconciling inventory, general housekeeping, and compliance with waste storage. Candidate must have experience in driving a yard dog and must have experience in moving trailers (putting trailers in the dock and pulling them out). Also assisting drivers that come on site. Sometimes required to move roll off cans with roll off truck.
Hours: 2nd Shift Mon.- Fri. 3pm-11:30pm
Pay: $21-$23 DOE w/$1.75 SD pay added after training

Qualifications
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
HS Diploma or equivalent
Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc.
1 plus years of related labor and computer experience
Ability to drive trucks within facility.
Forklift skills preferred.
