About the Role We're hiring a Batch Plant Yardman to operate loaders and other heavy equipment, maintain the yard, and support the efficient operation of the plant site. This role involves loading and unloading materials, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with various plant tasks. What You'll Do * Operate loaders to move and load materials such as aggregates, sand, and cement * Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas * Perform routine maintenance and inspections on loaders and other equipment * Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment * Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies * Assist in the quality control process by sampling and testing concrete products * Keep the yard and plant area clean and organized * Assist customers with loading and unloading products and provide excellent customer service * Communicate with external site traffic and plant personnel to ensure safe and efficient movement throughout the site * Maintain and pour large concrete blocks with leftover concrete * Maintain regular in-person attendance Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance * Prolonged periods of sitting and standing * Safely access and navigate the facility, including climbing and descending ladders * Work outside of normal business hours as needed * Responsible for regular yard upkeep, including mowing, trimming, and removing weeds * Support equipment maintenance as needed What You Bring to the Table * High school diploma or equivalent required * Ready-mixed concrete experience preferred * Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record required * Ability to learn plant batch control systems and operate them effectively * Commitment to safety and strict compliance with OSHA regulations * Professional communication and teamwork skills * Represent the company positively to customers and colleagues * Alert supervisors and customers to unsafe conditions What We Offer * Competitive Benefits Package including medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match * Paid Time Off (PTO), holidays, and additional leave options * Life Insurance (Company Paid) and Disability Coverage * Employee Assistance Program and other wellness benefits * Safety Allowances for shoes and glasses after 6 months * YMCA Membership at no cost for employees Join our team and be part of a company that values safety, teamwork, and professional growth!
